Quality Assurance & Metrology

Zero-Defect Inspection Process

At Annectotech LLP, absolute precision is not a target; it is a baseline. Discover how we secure micrometric tolerances on high-volume Traub and doling operations, ensuring every automotive space part meets rigorous Tier-1 OEM standards.

Proactive, In-Process Validation

High-speed manufacturing demands high-speed quality control. When our automated Traub lathes are running continuous mass-production cycles for automotive space parts, traditional end-of-line checking is simply too slow to prevent waste.

Instead, we employ an active metrology framework. By integrating inspection stations directly onto the factory floor alongside our Traub and doling machines, our operators validate dimensional stability in real-time. This allows us to track tool wear and make immediate micro-adjustments to the cam setups before a single part falls out of tolerance, guaranteeing a flawless yield.

Annectotech Metrology and Inspection Hub

Raw Material Validation

A precision component is only as reliable as the steel or brass it is carved from. Before any bar stock touches our machining floor, it undergoes a stringent validation process to ensure metallurgical integrity.

Chemical & MTC Verification

Every batch of raw material is cross-referenced with its corresponding Material Test Certificate (MTC). We strictly audit the chemical composition (carbon, manganese, sulfur content) to ensure it meets exact automotive grade specifications.

Physical Straightness Checks

High-speed automatic lathes require perfectly straight bar stock to prevent machine vibration and spindle damage. All incoming rods are dial-gauged for straightness and surface imperfections prior to clearance.

The 4-Stage Quality Gate System

Once material is approved, it must successfully clear four strict quality control gates during the machining phase before being dispatched.

1. Setup Validation

Tools, collets, and cams are calibrated strictly to the CAD blueprint. Machine parameters are independently verified by a floor supervisor before turning begins.

2. First-Off Approval

A senior metrologist validates the first machined component. Mass production is only authorized once the geometry achieves 100% drawing compliance.

3. In-Process SPC

Statistical Process Control is utilized continuously. Operators conduct mandated hourly dimensional checks, particularly monitoring thread integrity on doling machines.

4. Pre-Dispatch PDI

Randomized batch sampling checks parts for burrs, surface finish, and rust-prevention coatings prior to secure packaging and QC report generation.

Standardized Gauging Matrix

Inspected Parameter Primary Instrument Standard Tolerance Frequency

Thread Pitch & Depth (Doling) Thread Plug & Ring Gauges (Go/No-Go) Class 6H / 6g Every 500 Parts
Concentricity & Runout Dial Test Indicators & V-Blocks 0.02 mm TIR First-Off & Tool Change
Surface Roughness (Finishing) Digital Surface Profilometer Ra 0.8 - 1.6 Randomized Batch Sampling
Documentation and Material Traceability

Traceability & Documentation

For Tier-1 automotive suppliers, physical precision must be backed by undeniable paper trails. Annectotech LLP maintains comprehensive digital logs for every batch of space parts we produce.

If an anomaly is ever detected in your assembly line, our batch coding system allows us to instantly trace the exact date of manufacture, the specific Traub machine used, the operator on duty, and the original steel mill that supplied the raw bar stock. We provide formal Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI) reports with all major deliveries, ensuring your compliance auditing remains completely frictionless.

Defect Resolution Methodology

While our goal is zero defects, our Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) protocol ensures that if an anomaly occurs, it is permanently engineered out of existence.

1. Immediate Containment

If a dimension drifts out of tolerance during hourly SPC checks, the specific Traub machine is immediately halted. All parts produced since the last successful check are quarantined to ensure no defective components mix with approved batches.

2. Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

Our engineering team utilizes methodologies like the 5-Whys and Fishbone diagrams to identify the exact failure point—whether it was abnormal tool wear, a material hard spot, or cam slippage.

3. Preventive Implementation (8D)

We do not just replace the tool; we update the control plan. Machining parameters are adjusted, tooling lifespans are shortened, or inspection frequencies are increased to ensure the failure mode cannot repeat. Full 8D reports are available for OEM clients upon request.

Instrument Calibration Standards

An inspection is only as reliable as the gauge performing it. We maintain strict control over the lifespan and accuracy of our metrology tools.

NABL Traceability

All master gauges, digital micrometers, and vernier calipers are calibrated quarterly by NABL-accredited third-party laboratories to ensure absolute accuracy.

Daily Master Checks

Before every shift, operators calibrate their floor instruments against zero-blocks and master slip gauges, logging the results to prevent tool drift.

Strict Tool Lifespans

Thread plug gauges (Go/No-Go) and cutting tools have strict operational lifespans. Tools are proactively retired before wear can compromise component tolerances.

The Dual Assurance: ZED Standard

Under the leadership of our founders, Bhavya and Gitanjali, our inspection process is uniquely dual-focused. While Bhavya ensures our dimensional auditing meets absolute zero-defect targets for our automotive clients, Gitanjali enforces the second half of the MSME ZED mandate: Zero Effect. Our quality gates simultaneously inspect our coolant recovery systems and scrap metal optimization, ensuring our high-volume production remains ecologically responsible.
